Four students from the College of Pharmacy had the opportunity to attend the National Community Pharmacy Association’s (NCPA) annual conference in October. Long Trinh, Denise Beasely, Vivian Tang, and Sophia Trieu traveled to Nashville, TN to get a first hand look at the NCPA’s annual student business plan competition. The students of the College’s Entrepreneurial Academy are looking forward to submitting their own plan in the competition next year. It will be the first time the OSU College of Pharmacy has taken part in the nationwide competition and the students are eager with anticipation.
Michele Belcher, RPh., (Class of ’86), advisor to the Entrepreneurial Academy, attended the conference as well and introduced the students to the NCPA President among many others.
While at the conference the Entrepreneurial Academy members were able to view the posters of the 10 finalists for the 2011 business plan competition as well as question those student teams on their approach, techniques, and advice. The students also had the opportunity to attend networking events and business planning seminars gaining invaluable experience for the task ahead!
