Turn each slice over to ensure both sides are wet.<\/li><li>Cover and refrigerate overnight or bake immediately for 30 minutes.<\/li><li>Serve hot.&nbsp;Sprinkle lightly with powdered sugar (optional). Top with applesauce, fresh fruit or yogurt.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Refrigerate leftovers within 2 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Simple Berry Compote<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>16 oz frozen berries<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00bc cup juice<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2 tsp sugar<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Optional: vanilla and\/or cinnamon to taste<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Instructions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>Add berries, juice and sugar to a small saucepan and bring to medium heat.<\/li><li>Once bubbling, reduce heat slightly and use a spoon to mash the berries.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Continue cooking over medium-low heat for 10-12 minutes, occasionally stirring and mashing fruit to combine.
