I applied to a job I was well qualified for and well prepared to interview for. However the communication of the employer leading up to and after the interview was disappointing. Due to that lack of communication by the employer I am glad that the position had not been a fit for me. I think that the way an employer treats an applicate where they are a fit for the position or not is important and reflects the values of the company. I try to research a company well before I apply and see comments from past employees about their experience with the company. My interview for the current company I work for was much different, very inviting and had great communication which reflected the values of the company well. It was this and being able to see a bit of the culture of the company during my interview that influenced my decision to work for the company. I feel like applying for jobs is so faceless now with online applications and it can make it difficult to get a sense of the company before you work there.  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In my last job application experience it was honestly fairly disappointing.
