The last job I had was as a Retail Stocker at a retail farm store, while I went on to get promotions after this role this was the last job I read the full job description while not working for the same company. I was a regular customer at this store for years so the job description had little impact in my discussion to apply since I really wanted to work for the company regardless. Overall, I think I just looked at the job description to make sure I was mostly qualified at the time for the role. In my experience the role very closely match the description that was given by the company. The only aspect that I would add to the description given is a statement about working as a team and coordinating with other departments. Since the stocking team, in my opinion, interacts more the the other departments more then any other team. I think communication and team work skills are a huge factor in being successful at this role. Recently I have been applying to other jobs since I am getting to the end of my degree and would like to move up with another company. Currently I am paying very close attention to the descriptions of jobs I am applying to as the right fit for my next job is very important to me.
