Hi there! My name is ‘Atolo Tu’inukuafe. I’m currently a Postdoctoral Scholar at Oregon State University in Jason Ideker’s Research Group. I completed my MS in Civil/Structural Engineering and PhD in Materials Science at the University of Alabama in 2019 with Armen Amirkhanian and Paul Allison.
My research interests include (but are not limited to):
- Novel characterization techniques for cement like Atom Probe Tomography (APT)
- Alternative cement chemistry and behavior
- Test methods for concrete durability
Teaching runs in my family and I have dreams of modernizing engineering curriculums to be more engaging for students and comprehensive of the on-going infusion of technology with civil engineering. (Yes, this means I want to teach civil engineers how to code🐍)
Further details regarding his research, teaching, and industry experience are included in the following CV.
