Hey y’all! I’m Emily, the President of the Astronomy Club. I’m a 3rd year graduate student currently working on getting my PhD in Chemistry. I’ve spent the past two years as the Bureaucracy Officer! I love space, especially in its intersection with chemistry. I also love working with our GPS telescopes, showing all of you the rings of Saturn, or the storms of Jupiter. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

I just finished my master’s degree in nuclear engineering, and now I’m starting my PhD, and looking forward to spending the next few years with the club! Hi, I\u2019m Kyla and I am the Treasurer. I am a fourth year cyber security major with a fascination for the cosmos. This is my second year as the club Treasurer, and I thoroughly enjoy making spreadsheets to help mainstream tracking our finances.

Hi! I\u2019m Alex, the photography officer. I am majoring in physics with a minor in mathematics. This is my third year in the Astronomy Club and, this year, I am especially excited to make astrophotography more accessible to our club members. I was introduced to astrophotography about a year ago, and the first thing I photographed was the Andromeda Galaxy. Since then, I\u2019ve learned a lot about the technical aspects and how much work goes into a single image. This year, I hope to photograph more nebulae and teach astrophotography to interested club members!
