Hello there!
I’m Artemiy Arzumanov, and this is my shiny new blog. Admittedly, I’m not much of a writer, but you do what you gotta do. I’m currently a senior at Oregon State University, going for my Capstone project (which is what this blog will be mostly about in the future).
A little about myself:
I’m studying from home in a nice suburb of Chicago, Illinois. The whole distance learning works out really well for me, since I can spend time with my family and pets. I have a cute parakeet, and an even cuter cat that’s given up trying to hunt him over the years. I spend a fair bit of time behind a computer screen every day, studying, drawing, learning, gaming. To counteract my sedentary lifestyle I go hard at the gym 5 days a week, but even with massive muscles, I will forever remain a massive nerd.
I’ve been fascinated with computers since childhood, and always figured I’d end up working with them when I’m older. Now, it’s time to show younger me what I’m capable of. I’ve done my due diligence and found a team of like-minded people early. Out of all the projects, the one that stood out to me was the A-life Challenge, where you get to develop an application to simulate natural selection, evolution, genetic changes, etc. I’ve been learning Unity in my free time over the past year, and this seems like a great project to show off my skills on. Fingers crossed we get when the assignments are made!
