I was surprised to see that my The Holmes-Rahe Stress Inventory survey predicts a 50% chance of health breakdown in the next 2 years. I can admit that my life is hectic and often times stressful but I feel healthy for the most part. I was not surprised to learn that while I am warm and tolerant I can lash out when I am stressed or frustrated. This happens a lot with my kids when I feel overstimulated or overwhelmed. To better manage my stress I can prioritize minimizing the factors that I can control. Potential solutions could include taking solo trips every few months to reset and focus on me away from my family or hiring a babysitter more consistently so my husband and I can reconnect on dates. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In my work experience, I&#8217;ve had companies offer free or discounted gym memberships to help employees deal with stress. According to a Quantum Workplace article this is a common tactic. More modern options include flexible work hours, remote working, and on site counseling.
