As I read through the Fortune 100 Best Companies to work for 2025, I found myself feeling interested in looking into companies like Hilton, Cisco, and American Express. After looking into these companies, it was evident to me that these were positive companies to work for and treat their employees good as well.
Hilton employees talk about how the company treats them and recognizes good work resulting in making employees feel important and have a positive workplace. Respect and appreciation seem like some core values in employee treatment by the company. From personal experience, employees are more motivated to do a good job and work harder when they feel valued by upper management.
At the company Cisco, employees have a flexible work environment. Employees are allowed to create their own work-life balance which also creates a positive environment. When HR reps are understanding and communicative, stress can be reduced as well allowing employees to be happy.
American Express focuses on employee growth. They want their employees to have growth. They allow chances for employees to grow their skills and have the chance to grow within the company as well.
As a future HR manager, I would like to be someone that people feel comfortable with to share their concerns. I want to create a positive work environment and feel supported. HR is a way I can help people by giving them a space and the tools to be able to feel confident and get to where they want to be in life.
The biggest challenge for a manager to face, who wants to support their employees and their company, is that exactly. The balance between having a successful growing company and also keeping their employees happy can be hard. But overall, these companies show that positive HR interactions and practices can make employees happy and continue having a successful.
