Hi everyone! I am so excited to be taking Capstone with you all this semester and I figured I’d use this first post to say a little bit about me.
I currently live in Orlando, Florida where I have a product management internship with Disney and a part time position as a tutor. This has been an amazing experience so far and I have been loving the work that I’ve been doing. Product Management is definitely something I can see myself doing as a career.
After looking over the listed projects in this course, I think my favorite has to be the text adventure for education. I have been working as a tutor for a few years now and am always looking for ways to keep my students interested in the material. I’ve tutored a wide range of ages and topics, learning along the way that learning happened best when students were engaged and interested. A tool such as a text adventure game seems like a great way to me to help facilitate learning.
When I’m not busy with work and school, I love to read, bake, and spend time outdoors. I used to row and will hopefully be able to join a team again once I graduate at the end of this semester! I can’t wait to get to know all of you and hope everyone has a great semester!
