Things are finally moving along in my group project, and my teammates and I are off to a great start. I watched several extremely helpful tutorials about unity this week, and also a couple of tutorials about C#. I have experience with C, so it is not totally new information, but it can be a little bit daunting to try and learn a new language. My task this week is to create prefabs with the game pieces. A prefab in Unity is a component that allows fully configured GameObjects to be saved in the project for reuse. This is helpful, because it allows us to efficiently recycle parts of our game. Another thing we are doing this week is setting up our shared github repository. I recently switched from being a Mac user to a PC user, and so it may take me a couple of minutes to figure out how to get GitHub set up on my new computer. In the past, I have accidentally made my entire computer a GitHub repository, which obviously is not ideal, so hopefully this goes a little bit smoother!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
