As this is my first blog post I’ll make this a general post about how I got to the position I’m at today and the journey I made. I started my college career with a Psychology degree program at CU Boulder. After two years here due to grades and cost I transferred to the University of Wyoming where I finished with a B.S. in Psychology. With this degree there are very few things you can do for work and so I moved to Japan to be an English Teacher. While I was there I quickly realized that I wanted a better career in terms of money, growth, and skills. I wanted to learn more and do more in life.
After researching many programs, bookcamps, and traditional degrees that were options to me I settled on Oregon State’s post-bacc CS program as it was exactly what I was looking for.
During my time with the program here at OSU I was able to do an internship at a tech company this past summer and am currently interviewing with new grad roles for the spring.
