As we continue to push the boundaries of AI into full stack development, we keep finding more interesting issues. This week I was attempting to setup a email notification system as part of a larger notifications microservice. The general idea is that the notifications microservice gets notified of a transaction and it sends out all the necessary notifications to our members.
The interesting issue we ran into while setting this up was that the AI we were using (ChatGPT) is not up to date with Gmail’s settings. This means that we were unable to synchronize the email service with the gmail account.
We did however find out that ChatGPT is (according to ChatGPT) familiar with a second trading endpoint called Interactive Brokers, so we’re going to look into using it.
Looking forward to fixing this email thing next week and maybe adding a second trading microservice.
