-First generation Latino College graduate
-Immigrated from Mexico at 6 months of birth
-Spent summers since the age of 8 up through high school graduation picking berries to help make ends meet at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is one highlight of your career field?<\/strong>
Helping students get scholarships, and establishing the Juntos program in Washington County<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How did you get to your career?<\/strong>
Networking. I had worked as a student worker at PCC prior to transferring. So I made friends and kept those friendships, so when I graduated I connected with those friends, and I was able to line me up with a job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What does your average day look like on your job?<\/strong>
Controlled Chaos. Daily meeting with College, and high school students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are there any tips you have for individuals seeking to start this career or do you know if there are scholarship or internship opportunities available with your career?<\/strong>
Connect with people. Don’t be afraid to open up and meet new people in the professional setting. This will pay off in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
