Brief Professional Biography:
Mari Morris works as a Show-Rite Specialist where she gets to exercise her knowledge in animal science, livestock evaluation and animal nutrition in order to help youth showing livestock find success in the show ring. She also works on the distribution side of the business helping support dealers and distributors in the western states. Lastly, Mari is responsible for managing all social media platforms for Show-Rite and assists with marketing responsibilities such as event planning, advertising, and literature creation.

Brief Personal and Professional Biography:
Mari lives in Augusta, MT on her husbands family ranch. Mari and Tucker, her husband, have a 7 month old daughter named Maya. They raise Maine and Angus cattle for commercial, seedstock and show purposes. Mari grew up in Bend, OR showing hogs and horses. She traded Oregon for Oklahoma upon high school graduation to pursue her passion for livestock judging. She was a part of a National Champion Livestock Judging Team at Redlands Community College as well as a Reserve National Champion Livestock Judging Team at Oklahoma State University. She graduated from OSU in 2015 with a Bachelors Degree in Animal Science and a Minor in Agricultural Business.

I get to continue my passion for youth, livestock and the show ring.

What does your average day look like on your job?
Consults with customers where they send me pictures of their animal and I make a feed recommendation. Collaborating with the sales staff in the field to support them. Creating graphics and marketing materials. Organizing product production and research trials.

Are there any tips you have for individuals seeking to start this career or do you know if there are scholarship or internship opportunities available with your career?
Network and socialize in the show industry! There are not many scholarships or internships on the feed side but there are through breed associations and organizations.
