-First generation Latino College graduate
-Immigrated from Mexico at 6 months of birth
-Spent summers since the age of 8 up through high school graduation picking berries to help make ends meet at home.

What is one highlight of your career field?
Helping students get scholarships, and establishing the Juntos program in Washington County

How did you get to your career?
Networking. I had worked as a student worker at PCC prior to transferring. So I made friends and kept those friendships, so when I graduated I connected with those friends, and I was able to line me up with a job.

What does your average day look like on your job?
Controlled Chaos. Daily meeting with College, and high school students.

Are there any tips you have for individuals seeking to start this career or do you know if there are scholarship or internship opportunities available with your career?
Connect with people. Don’t be afraid to open up and meet new people in the professional setting. This will pay off in the future.
