Committee leadership is provided by a chair or co-chairs. Members of OSUEA4-HA are encouraged to be an active member of the association and join a committee. You may join a committee during your fall enrollment into the association or by contacting a committee chair.<\/p>\n<h2>Organizational Stewardship<\/h2>\n<p>Chair:\u00a0 Past President\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Organizational Stewardship committee consists of the current Executive board which includes:\u00a0 Past President, President, President-elect, Treasurer and Secretary.\u00a0 The committee solicits nominees for OSUEA4-HA offices and committees, produces and forwards a slate of candidates to the President prior to the annual meeting, and manages elections of officers for OSUEA4-HA.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Member Recognition<\/h2>\n<p>Co-Chairs: Jon Gandy &amp; Samara Worlein Rufener<\/p>\n<p>The Member Recognition committee solicits nominations and selects nominees\/winners in each of the NAE4-HYDP award categories including, but not limited, to MSA, DSA, ASA, 25-Year Service Awards, Communicator Awards and Professional Development Awards.<\/p>\n<h2>Membership<\/h2>\n<p>Chair: Trisha Applebee<\/p>\n<p>The Membership committee promotes the benefits of state and national association membership among all potential members. It maintains current membership lists and works with the OSUEA Membership committee and Treasurer, and the OSUEA4-HA Secretary and\/or Treasurer to track the dues and committee interests of members at annual renewal time. It also coordinates lifetime memberships.<\/p>\n<h2>Professional Development<\/h2>\n<p>Chair: vacant<\/p>\n<p>The Professional Development committee develops activities and programs to enhance professionalism of the members.\u00a0 It also creates awareness of and provides information on potential funding for attendance at national conference and other professional development opportunities<\/p>\n<h2>Programs Committee<\/h2>\n<p>Chair:<\/p>\n<p>The Programs Committee oversees the <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/4haffiliate\/youth-enhancement-grant\/\">Youth Enhancement Grant<\/a>, which supports 4-H Faculty and Staff to develop innovative programs that can be replicated in multiple counties. In addition, the Program Committee provides an opportunity through Shared Resources at the 4-H Spring Staff Conference for staff and faculty to share with peers through a non-refereed process.<\/p>\n<h2>Esprit de Corps<\/h2>\n<p>Chair: vacant<\/p>\n<p>The Esprit de Corps committee is charged with fundraising for the association each year to keep dues low. The funds are used to pay for awards, travel for officers to conferences, and assist with the cost of members to attend States Night Out.\u00a0 In addition, Esprit de Corps Committee builds spirit through co-hosting an annual banquet at the 4-H Spring Staff Professional Development Conference.<\/p>\n<h2>Healthy Living<\/h2>\n<p>Chair: Carolyn Ashton and Elizabeth Gangwer<\/p>\n<p>The Healthy Living Committee promotes healthy living among its membership.\u00a0 It does so by providing tools and resources to its members that will help them to achieve a healthy work\/life balance.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Diversity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Chair:  vacant<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The OSUEA4-HA Diversity Committee is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and equitable environment within OSUEA4-HA \u00a0by promoting awareness, understanding, and respect for all individuals. This committee provides guidance, resources, and professional development opportunities that help faculty and staff integrate diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) principles into their work with youth and communities. Members collaborate to identify barriers, celebrate cultural differences, and support policies and practices that create welcoming spaces for all participants. Through ongoing education and strategic initiatives, the committee plays a vital role in advancing the mission of 4-H and strengthening the impact of its programs statewide.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Committees are the backbone of the Association.
