Throughout life whether it is within a work environment or simply doing day to day activities, stress is an unavoidable obstacle that can make any task seem like the end of the world. After taking the surveys that gauged personality type and stress level, I found that I was a moderately stressed person that falls under a Type B personality. This was slightly surprising to me due to the fact that I feel as if I am more stressed than the average person when it comes to working or having to get work done in a certain amount of time. One of the best methods that helped me with stress in the work environment is learning when to not stretch your abilities too thin within the company. Although it is necessary to branch out and help other teams within the company, it is important to understand the scope of your work and what is being asked of you. Providing additional work without receiving additional compensation on the work will eventually cause stress and laziness in a worker. Additionally, another method that is very important for the mental health of workers is to understand how to have a separation between personal life and work life. This is mainly due to what I noticed about other individuals that feel extremely stressed about their work, many of which get off of shifts and are still affected by stressful moments at work. Overall, the key to experiencing the least amount of stress at work requires you to understand the scope of work asked of you and focusing on your mental health.
