Based on my results, I agreed with a lot of the outcomes. For the first test ‘Based on the Life Stress Inventory’, I scored a 149. I felt like this was accurate considering where I currently am in life: graduating soon, moving out of Corvallis, starting anew job. To me, this test also seemed more applicable to an adult outside of college that has been in the workforce for at least a few years. In the ‘Coping and Stress Skills Management, test I scored a 64 and my results indicated I often use problem focused strategies. The results explained how using this method is typically ineffective in situations that I cannot control but handy when I face a situation that I can control. I thought these results were interesting and definitely related to how I act in certain situations. I have never liked change in my routine or daily life so when something changes, that I cannot control, I tend to over stress instead of going with the flow. The final test was the ‘Type A Personality’. In this test I scored a 36. I would have to agree with the results I read in this test about myself especially when explaining my interactions with others. I would say I typically have a lot of patience for people but my patience will wear thin occasionally when I interact with someone who is disrespectful, lazy, or not a team player. I also would agree that that I rarely tend to lash out on others when I’m stressed. When I do lash out, it is usually on those closest to me, like my family.
