Typical vs. Maximal Performance

If I had to choose between Avery and Jaime, I’d probably go with Jaime. Don’t get me wrong Avery sounds like she could be amazing but only when she actually tries. In real life I’ve worked with people like that and it’s frustrating. You never know what you’re gonna get from them on a normal day. And honestly most days at work aren’t high stakes moments there regular days where you just need people to show up and do the job. Jaime seems dependable and as someone who values peace of mind I’d rather have someone I can count on. There are definitely jobs where someone like Avery would be the better fit. If I was running a marketing agency or a creative studio I might go with Avery. Those jobs are about big ideas and breakthrough moments. If Avery can come through when it really counts, like landing a client or designing a campaign, that’s a huge win. Consistency is still nice but creative jobs usually reward the best idea, not the most regular one.

Now something like a bank teller, a delivery driver, or someone running inventory at a warehouse? That’s where Jaime would shine. Those are roles where being reliable every single day matters way more than having one big “wow” moment. Jaime would be perfect because those jobs keep businesses running smoothly and smooth is better than risky when it comes to operations. In the end I guess it just depends on what kind of business you’re running, but for most jobs, give me Jaime.
