Job Application Experience at Dutch Bros

The last job I applied for was at Dutch Bros. I had always thought it looked like a fun place to work I was in college and needed a job with flexible hours, so I figured I’d give it a shot. The application process was honestly pretty casual. I filled out a quick form online and then heard back within a few days about coming in for a group interview. That part was super different from anything I’d done before, we were all asked to answer fun, random questions and show our personality more than anything. It felt weird at first but it also made sense. Dutch Bros clearly cares a lot more about attitude and energy than just experience on paper. After that I was invited back for a one on one interview and that’s where I really got a feel for what the job would be like. The manager talked a lot about culture and being part of the Broista team, and I appreciated how transparent they were. I actually felt more excited about the job after each step, which I think says a lot. The hiring process made me want the job even more. It was personal and fast paced, just like the job itself ended up being. It really showed me how the hiring experience can set the tone for how you feel about a place before you even start.
