Collaboration yields LIFE in 360 degrees

September 17th, 2008

Web Communications is happy to have played a role in a pair of Web projects debuting tomorrow during University Day.

LIFE@OSU is a new publication for and about the people that make OSU work: our faculty and staff. It is a combination print and online publication that is taking over after the retirement of OSU This Week. The online edition will push the content into new directions by including companion video and audio, plus additional photography. Dialog is encouraged with each article giving readers the opportunity to post comments. Letters to the editor are encouraged, and the “Commentary” feature will highlight some of the leading university voices. This project is a collaboration of the Web Communications, News and Communications Services and University Marketing offices of University Advancement.

An campuswide team collaborated to create Experience OSU 360, a virtual tour integrated with the campus map. Led by Housing and Dining, with help from Central Web Services, Enrollment Management, University Advancement, the Campus Visitor Center and more, this project truly stretched across departments and reached across divisions to push OSU’s online experience in a new direction.

I’m glad our office could be a part of these projects, and we look forward to more partnerships in the future: diverse experience and talents always yield stronger results.
