The Food Safety Systems lab is dedicated to helping people and companies to improve food safety. In order to do this, we can perform the following services to help guide food safety decisions:

  • pH testing
  • Moisture content
  • Water activity
  • Microbial enumeration of foods: includes aerobic plate counts, yeast and mold, coliform counts, etc.
  • Process validations
  • Shelf life studies
  • Agricultural Water testing: to determine coliform and generic E. coli counts in water samples (IDEXX Quanti-tray).
