Caity,

Thank you for your feedback. That is terrific that you want to get involved in the world of Social Justice, Diversity, and Inclusion (SJDI)! I personally am a Mechanical Engineer here, but I know that if you were interested in a way to include SJDI in your major, you have a lot of options. I would recommend looking into Applied Ethics, Political Science, Human Development and Family Science, and Philosophy for starters. I would make sure that you consult with many various departments and people on campus.

I would highly recommend getting plugged in at the Women's Center and any other Cultural Center or Resource Center that we have on campus. I know that the Women's Center will have a lot of information for you regarding majors that you may be interested in. This will also provide an opportunity to begin your SJDI career with many truly amazing people!

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me with more questions.

I am also going to run this comment past my cohorts to make sure that I am giving you all of the information that you need for your future at Oregon State University. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend.

Hello my name is Caity and i found this so great!
i am currently a first year student here at OSU and i used to live in Newberg which is Sherwoods neighbor haha. But i am currently enrolled in a major that isnt really what i want. im currently a pre ecological engineer and how ecoe was described to me it was perfect. but know that i have experienced it and talked to people who have been in this program it isn't exactly what i am looking for. Just tonight actually i was introduced to this social justice and i find social justice interesting and i feel like i would be more interested in this. i want to be an activist in either community service, volunteering, or just relating with people. i was just wondering if there is a social justice program or major here at OSU or if there is a path choice that you might be able to suggest for me?
thanks for all your time
