I bookmarked only my favorite bloggers from this class and put them in a bookmark folder called WS320!

I think this class was a really good experience. I will say that being behind on technology really made this class a struggle for me. I learned so much but I also felt very frustrated because It took me many hours to produce what I did and I am not happy with my grade. I just need to remind myself that even though my grade is not great, I learned so much and that is just as important as the grade. I feel that my teach project was my best work because it took the length of the class to learn all the skills and I was best able to apply it all to this last project ,which is nice to see improvement. I am excited to apply what I learned to my future schooling and projects, I also would like to continue blogging personally and feel that i wouldn’t be able to do that without taking this class. I do feel that I met the class objectives and I also believe that this class exemplified feminist pedagogy. Overall, i learned an incredible amount by taking this class. I feel that the class should have less guidelines on the technology end as it is a foreign language to some people(like me) and the pressure to get all the instructions into my assignments was very stressful. I appreciate the help that was available through our teacher, and she always emailed me back in a quick manner. Thank you for the class and thank you to everyone that kept up with my blog.

When I was brain storming ideas for the teach project, I wanted to chose something that I was comfortable going into depth with. I am naturally not a very tech savvy person, as I have said before which kept my ideas between just a few different topics. I First thought I would enjoy teaching someone to use I Tunes and how to put music onto an I pod, but I decided that many people are familiar with I Tunes. My next Idea was to teach about netflix, and the different ways you can use netflix depending on the type of player you have. I also realized that this idea might only be interesting to a smaller crowd. I decided on teaching how to use Ebay to sell things. I have recently been selling things on Ebay and It is something that takes time to learn and I am excited to share with you how I use Ebay to sell things!

I plan on using pictures and possibly even video as tools for my teach project. I want to give step by steph instructions along with examples of possible scenarios that can happen while attempting to sell something on Ebay.

I found a blog where someone payed off 15,000 dollars of debt in 9 months by selling things on Ebay. I like his blog because he has great bullet points on how to get started, if you are selling items for the first time. This also helps me get started on my teach project and reminds me of the more basic first steps, like taking inventory of what all you want to sell, and setting up an online paypal account.

The Financial Analysis was really fun to create as I got to research something that is really exciting, a vacation! I used Microsoft Excel to create my spreadsheet and it was fairly easy. I am not computer savvy so I feel that I kept it simple. I had a hard time knowing if my budget was really as attainable as it seems because it seems almost to good. I also had a hard time adjusting the excel worksheet after posting it to the page, I was not able to write after posting the grid. I removed the grid and wrote and then added and it worked just fine.

I chose Florida for my graduation vacation because I have always wanted to explore the only state in the U.S. with which is considered tropical weather. I love traveling and have been to many of the more typical vacation spots such as Mexico, Hawaii, San Fransisco, New York, but have never really been to the east coast. Since our country has so much to offer in Florida I might as well check it out.I love Disney and have been to Disney Land many times growing up. Now that I am older I have outgrown Disney Land and I want to see Disney World since it has more to offer (yes, it takes a lot to out grow Disney Land, that’s how much I have gone lol). I also want to see the everglades, as I have heard it is much more beautiful than television portrays it. I want to visit Miami because it has beautiful beaches along with South American culture. Lastly, I am attracted to Florida for the Ringling Museum Complex, which is a museum of the Ringling Circus. My mom was a circus aerialist and traveled around the u.s., making my fascinated with the circus and how they came to be.

I would like to do my financial analysis on my graduation vacation because, it will be the soonest of all my goals, and I actually want to see how my budget would look to save enough for something like that.

This week has been very fun and rewarding along with very challenging. Adding pictures to my project took a little to get used to. I am bummed as I am making the final corrections to my paper, I am not able to add a response from Claire Diaz Ortiz herself. I emailed her some questions about two weeks ago and her assistant wrote me that she liked my questions and wanted to help in my research, she said she would pass the questions on to Claire but I have not gotten a response yet. That’s OK though, I read on her blog that she gets around 500 emails per day, so if she responds to my email before the class is over I will post in on the blog. That was my highlight of the week, I have also had a hard time finding information on the technology behind Twitter, but overall  I feel satisfied with the research I have done and excited to share it.

Hello, I finally feel that I can breathe as i am working my way through this paper. My biggest struggle this week was time. For personal reasons I was unavailable this week, and I also switched topics beginning this week causing me to spend many hours researching before actually putting the words down on paper. Compacting two weeks of work into one week is not my recommendation to anyone! One things I have not been able to find for my project is why Claire Ortiz decided to get involved in such a technologically heavy career. I am going to continue researching and hopefully find more about her personal reasons for putting herself in this area of work, besides her degree drove her there. Thank you for reading!
