Career Changing Journey

About Me

Hello there! My name is Stephanie, I started my journey to becoming a developer back in 2021. Prior to this, I worked in the biotech field for about 3 years as a biochemist. I found that working in a laboratory was very slow paced for me! Some of the work I had going could take up to 6-18 hours of waiting….

I was drawn to tech by a friend who works in the field. I thought their work looked interesting, so I started to pursue tutorials in basic web development outside of work, and joined the OSU post bac program in March of 2021.

Currently, I am working part time as a software engineering intern as I finish up my classes this term. In my internship, I am working with AWS services to develop a cloud platform to process medical data. This term is my final term and I am taking capstone along with the mobile elective.

Outside of work and school, I enjoy being outdoors. I adopted a new dog a couple months ago, so I have been spending a lot of time walking and going to dog parks!
