General English:

  • Levels Foundation Prep, 1, 2 and 2/3 split: Students must have an overall average of 73% or higher in each of two consecutive sessions in Reading/Writing (R/W), Listening/Speaking/Vocabulary (L/S/V) and Grammar. Also, their test and quiz score average must be 73% or higher in each of two consecutive sessions in each core skill area in Reading/Writing (R/W), Listening/Speaking/Vocabulary (L/S/V) and Grammar.
  • Levels 3, 4 and 5: Students must have an overall average of 73% or higher in each of two consecutive sessions in Listening/Speaking/Vocabulary (L/S/V). Also, their test and quiz score average must be 73% or higher in each of two consecutive sessions in each core skill area in Listening/Speaking/Vocabulary (L/S/V).

Academic English:

  • Levels Foundation Prep, 1, 2 and 2/3 split: Students must have an overall average of 73% or higher in each of two consecutive sessions in Reading/Writing (R/W), Listening/Speaking/Vocabulary (L/S/V) and Grammar. Also, their test and quiz score average must be 73% or higher in each of two consecutive sessions in each core skill area in Reading/Writing (R/W), Listening/Speaking/Vocabulary (L/S/V) and Grammar.
  • Levels 3, 4, 5 and 6: Students must have an overall average of 73% or higher in Reading/Writing (R/W) and Listening/Speaking (L/S). Their average on significant assessment tasks must also be 73% or higher in each core skill area in Reading/Writing (R/W) and Listening/Speaking (L/S).
  • Level 3 students who do not pass Grammar at Level 3 progress to Level 4 and must retake Grammar 3.
  • Level 4 students who do not pass Grammar at Level 3 progress to Level 5 and must retake Grammar 3.

(Electives are not considered in level to level progression).
