Flight of the MC-ICP-MS
The largest crate is too big to make it up the second floor lab in the elevator so it was brought in through the second story window! We are ready for the install!
New MC-ICP-MS arrives from the UK
Our Nu Plasma 3D MC-ICP-MS flew from the UK to Portland and was transported from Portland to Corvallis on a truck. Four crates in total—the heaviest crate is 1500 lb.!

Christina Murphy wins 1st place for her NWSA 2017 poster
Congratulations to recent B.S. Environmental Science graduate Christina Murphy who won 1st place for her poster, Evaluation of trace element concentrations in Oregon’s edible wild-foraged mushroom species, at the 2017 Northwest Scientific Association meeting in Ashland, OR.
New ICP-OES has arrived
A new ICP-OES will be installed in the Keck Lab early January. The acquisition was funded by a RERF grant from OSU (lead PI Adam Kent). Learn more about the Keck Lab and the other instruments housed there at http://wmkeck-icpms.coas.oregonstate.edu.
