We started transect &#8216;C&#8217; but were not able to deploy the fish acoustics.. too rough. We did deploy the Scanfish and collected good data&#8230;The instrument only crashed into the bottom once (also not good). Finished the [...]]]></description>
				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We are still at sea. Our sister ship is safe in port. Last night was probably the largest seas. We started transect &#8216;C&#8217; but were not able to deploy the fish acoustics.. too rough. We did deploy the Scanfish and collected good data&#8230;The instrument only crashed into the bottom once (also not good). Finished the transect at about midnight and started transect &#8220;B&#8217; at 0200. We are about to finish that about 0900 or so.</p>
<p>The seas have now moderated but there are still large swells and we have the seas following us. Once we finish this, we will steam towards the bay (about 3 -4 hours) and then do our acoustic calibrations before we head into port sometime late this afternoon???</p>

<p>Got to our station and deployed our gear. Trying to get this section in and maybe one more????!!! seas big and with white caps.</p>
