Missing in Action
Posted February 18th, 2010 by lawrenkaI’ve been MIA for the past two weeks or so and my apologies for that! I’ve been back and forth between Corvallis, Providence hospital in Medford and my parent’s home in Brookings, Oregon. My dad was in the hospital for about a week and a half after a lung biopsy and it was my responsibility to be there with my family. I’ve been pretty worried about keeping up with my classes as well so because of my situation, I’ll be withdrawing from most of my classes this term and will come back spring term. I’m not planning on withdrawing from Power Up so no problems there! I’m really trying to keep a positive outlook and it’s been pretty hard these days. My dad is awesome in his strength and each day when I speak to him he’s extremely encouraging and positive and I just love that about him.

Sorry to hear about your Dad. Stay strong, laugh lots and spend time with your family. Hopefully some of the things you were learning with the Challenge will help you during this time. I’ll keep you in my thoughts.

I hope that you were able to get successfully situated with your classes and great to hear that you stuck with the Challenge! Exercise is so good for dealing with stress, so hopefully it has been rewarding in this past week.
May the results from your father’s tests be optimistic. He is fortunate to have a kid you. ~S
