High school students, in the Albany-Corvallis area, are welcome to apply.
What is Phronesis?
We are a group of Oregon State University
Professors and students who research ethics.
Phronesis lab is in its third year of organizing a
college-level class for high school students to
learn ethics, leadership, and issues in social justice.
Due to the success of this program, we
are initiating a week-long summer camp
program, held on the OSU campus,
for high school students like you.
What will we talk about?
Education as Indoctrination, Sexism in Media,
Human Trafficking, Police Brutality,
Social Organizing, Civil Disobedience,
Racism in the Prison Industrial Complex, and
Who Counts in the Membership of the Moral Community.
There is a $25 deposit, refunded upon completion of the camp.
The camp typically runs the first week of August, from 10 am to 3 pm.
