I had a wonderful Mother’s Day today. Ordinarily, we all get together for a barbeque or something, but today, everyone decided to just do their own thing. It was great. I stayed in my pajamas for most of the day and did nothing but eat sweet treats and watch movies. I even took an afternoon nap. I felt free for a change.
To some people this might sound borng. But, it has been awhile since I’ve had the luxury of spending the day doing almost nothing, so I loved it. My children, grandchildren and even my two year old great granddaughter called me to wish me “Happy Mother’s Day”. That was all I needed. Just a little recognition.
