These regional award winners will now advance to the National 4-H Awards selection.

There has been some confusion on nominating colleagues for ASA, DSA, and MSA awards.  According to the NAE4HA awards website, only the award winners can submit their applications.  However, the OSUEA4HA awards committee determines the Oregon winners.

Please DO NOT submit the nomination to NAE4HA directly.  We will work with the Oregon Award winners to have them submit their awards AFTER they are selected.

Yes!  Its that time of year again.  Time to start submitting your applications for OSUEA4-HA and NAE4-HA awards.  All award applications are due February 15th to Robin Galloway.

ONLINE APPLICATIONS SUBMISSIONS:  We are again streamlining the process so that all applications will be submitted online directly to OSUEA4-HA Awards Co-Chair, Robin Galloway.

2013 APPLICATION:  We are waiting for the NAE4HA awards committee to update the 2013 application. We will notify all our members as soon as that is available.  In the meantime, check out the award categories and start pulling together the information you need for your application.

Congratulations to our very own . . .  Pat Willis, Jeremy Green, Lynette Black and Jon Mayer (now with Florida 4-H Extension).  They have won the prestigious NAE4-HA Education Technology Team Award.  Our Oregon team will receive their award at the National NAE4-HA conference in Orlando, FL this fall.

The Educational Technology Award is designed to:

• To recognize the use of technology (such as computers, video, satellite, web pages, etc.) in delivering or managing educational programs.
• To expand the use of technology education in 4-H.
• To promote logical problem-solving techniques using educational technologies.

Pat, Jeremy, Lynette and Jon wrote, developed, and produced a series of science education videos that can be found on several sites including You Tube.  If you have not checked out their award check it out here.

Check out these New Awards

We’re excited to announce two new awards this year.

The Excellence in 4-H Volunteerism will recognize Extension professionals who excel in managing 4-H volunteer programs or enhancing volunteer development, and includes both  individual and team awards with $500 to the national winners and $150 to regional winners.

The second new award is Excellence in Geospatial Programs and is designed to recognize exemplary geospatial programs for both an individual and a team.

We just received word that NAE4-HA has revised the awards application for our 2012 Awards.  If you have already submitted your award nominations using the old forms, we will honor those.  However if you have not yet submitted your awards, please use these new forms

Our OSUEA 4HA Award Committee is pleased to announce that we have streamlined and improved the process for submitting award applications in 2012.  Changes for 2012 include:

• Complete the Awards Application using a fillable PDF file
• submit your awards nominations through email
• ASA, DSA and MSA no longer require 3 letters of support
• one-stop site for getting all your information for the various awards including application forms, eligibility, sample award winners and more
