Event Attire
Go Greek Days
Wear something casual (jeans, khakis, etc). These are the most informal days, so choose something that you would wear to class. The sorority women will be wearing t-shirts and their choice of bottoms.
Chapter Days
This day is considered business casual. Wear something dressy casual (khakis, skirts, nice jeans, etc). Chapter Days are more formal than Go Greek Days.
Preference Night
This evening is semi-formal (dresses, nice skirts, slacks). This is the most formal night. The sorority women traditionally wear solid black or solid white dresses, so we suggest that you wear something different to set yourself apart from the members.
REMEMBER: Be sure to wear things that you are comfortable in, especially when it comes to shoes.

How fancy is preference night? Like any type of dress or more like the short fancier kind you would wear to homecoming or something? Or in between those two?
It is considered semi formal, but most people just wear a nicer, short dress (no need for floor length prom dresses). The sorority members are usually wearing solid black, red, or white dresses, so maybe try and avoid those colors
