College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences (CEOAS), Water Resources
PhD Student
Travis is a faculty research assistant in the Geosciences department at OSU. His work has focused on the effects forest have on snow accumulation and ablation in montane environments. This work integrates an active field measurement component, computer modeling and remote sensing techniques with a goal of improving snow evolution understanding in forested environments. Tavis lead a team of undergraduate interns, measuring snow depth and snow water equivalent at our open and forested sites in the McKenzie River Basin this last January, 2105.
