Halloween

Posted October 29th, 2013 by sternerr

It’s that time of year again, when OSU fans are not alone in wearing and decorating with orange and black. Halloween is upon us and with Dad and Family’s weekend, plus the USC game on the docket this weekend there is plenty to celebrate. As you plan your weekend, please keep these tips in mind:

1.) If you choose to dress up and walk around campus, downtown or other heavily populated areas, be sure to wear something that helps you be seen. Dressing in all dark colors makes it very hard for drivers and bikers to see you and with all the traffic (including many people from out of town) on the roads this weekend, it’s a dangerous combination. Need some bright light gear? Head to the MU Quad on Oct. 30th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to get some!

2.) Be like the Marines and never leave a person behind. With so many different events to attend, it can be easy to get separated from friends and family. If you decide to go your own way, make sure to exchange numbers with people and check back in with them at a designated time. Don’t be the friend who leaves a party leaving everyone else to wonder where you went and don’t leave your friends behind hoping they make it home ok. Neither makes for great memories.

3.) Take advantage of all the fun events happening on-campus. Some are well known and highly publicized, but others offer alternatives for those who may not want to dress up, party, or go to the game. Examples include:

Cross Cultural Halloween Party

#beBeaverBold Trick or Treat

Pumpkin Patches, Corn Mazes, etc. around Corvallis
