The Human Services Resource Center
Posted February 6th, 2011 by mayerslThe Human Services Resource Center (HSRC) is a place for OSU students to come for support. HSRC is a program funded through the Associated Students of Oregon State University (ASOSU). It’s a warm welcoming atmosphere dedicated to providing students with the resources and services that many need. The HSRC currently offers OSU students services such as:
- OSU Emergency Food Pantry: a student-fun organization that provides nutritious and culturally appropriate food to students in need. Hours can be found on the website.
- MealBux Program: students shouldn’t have to chose between textbooks for food, so this program offers students a way to pay for a few meals a week, while on campus.
- Student Health Insurance Subsidy: to assist students with paying for the health insurance offered through OSU.
- Community Resources: In addition the HSRC has information on local shelthers for students in need of emergency shelter.
The HSRC is open 9:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m. and is located in Snell Hall 230. Their contact information is asosu.hsrc@oregonstate.edu or 541-737-3747. For a more information on services, applications and for hours of the food pantry, check out their website at: http://asosu.oregonstate.edu/human-services-resource-center.
