Building Relationships – Advancing Diversity
Oregon State University (OSU) is an institution that strives to build the advancement of diversity within its organization, and Procurement, Contracts, and Materials Management (PCMM) and Capital Planning and Development (CPD) departments support the provision of business opportunities to Minority, Women-Owned and Emerging Small Businesses (MWESB).
OSU believes that reaching out to MWESB vendors interested in working with OSU is critical to insure they respond to solicitations and are able to reach the purchasing decision makers at OSU. Both PCMM and CPD encourage MWESB vendors to respond to the University’s procurement opportunities. Special outreach measures are taken to ensure that PCMM and CPD provides MWESB’s with every possible opportunity to respond to procurement opportunities and to provide them with information on how best to do business with OSU.

OSU’s Administrative and Diversity Manager works within PCMM and serves as the point of contact to facilitate outreach in support of a strong supplier diversity procurement program.
Procurement, a unit within Procurement, Contracts and Materials Management (PCMM), is responsible for the management of the procurement of goods and services for the University.
The Capital Administration unit of Capital Planning and Development (CPD) is responsible for the management and oversight for all capital construction and large-scale renovation procurement.
