This Friday, on October 1st, MU Program Council will present two out standing speakers on the subject “The Positive Impact of Diversity and Inclusion on the U.S. Economy and Your Career”. There will be a reception at 10:30 am (food & beverages will be provided) followed by the lecture at 11:30 am. Both will take place in Memorial Union room 109 on the OSU campus.

Mark Szollar

Douglas Freeman

The speakers are Mark Szollar and Douglas Freeman. Mr. Szollar works for the New York Times as advertising Director of Diversity, Recruitment and Sports Marketing. He is also an OSU alumni. Mr. Freeman is the founder of World Diversity Leadership Summit in Prague.

There will also be a chance to have a conversation with both Szollar and Freeman from 2:45 to 4:00 pm in the Native American Longhouse.

Coming up on November 3rd will be another informative speaker on diversity, Dr. Warren Washington, Chief Scientist of the DOE/UCAR Cooperative Agreement at NCAR. More will be posted soon about this speaker.

MU Program Council has seveal events planned for OSU’s new student week. On Wednesday there is a Mocktail Party from 7 to 9 in the MU Lounge. On Thursday students can join the MUPC & ASOSU campus oun in the Quad with games, food and prizes. Friday finishes up with a Scavenger Hunt from 2 to 5 which includes great prizes for the winners.
