After looking for companies that were in my field and companies that I knew of I came across 4 that I wanted to talk about today from the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For. Those companies are (in order) Hilton, David Weekly Homes, NVIDA Corp, and Power Home Remodeling Group.
Starting, 2 out of the 4 companies on my list are in the same industry and the other two could be considered leaders of their industries, to which they are held to a higher standard in my opinion. The biggest word drawn from all four companies was “team” and “people” this would indicate that the employees at these companies believe what made it a great workplace are the individuals involved. Evidently, this comes down to the execution of HR analytics which if done properly you can use the data collected from the people and use that to shape and inform people-related decisions and strategies. I took the average statistic that involved management being competent or believing that the management is making the best decisions to which the average percentage that trusted and was satisfied with their management was 96%.
The management of these companies has compelled their employees to believe and trust them enough that they are satisfied working for the company. That is the kind of manager I want to be. I want to be able to provide support when I can and create an environment where my employees are challenged and are rewarded with victory or loss. I think that would be the most challenging part of being a manager when your employees have challenged themselves but didn’t accomplish the mission/goal, find a way to support them while taking responsibility for the outcome.
