Tools Used:

For this project I used my friends blackberry camera and took pictures of my cell phone. I took a picture of each step to  ‘send a text message’.  The steps 1-7 show in detail, each process of sending a text message. I figured out how to send a message by playing around with my cell phone. Most cell phones are similar and a person can send them using the steps 1-7. These play by play steps, give a descriptive outline of how to text message on a Verizon cellular phone. My friends blackberry took great pictures. This really helped me with the procedure.

Skills Learned:

I learned how to send pictures from my friends blackberry, to my email, save to the computer, crop, and upload in my blog. I had an idea of how to do this but wasn’t exactly sure. I now have figured out how to use another cell phone for my project. The use of technology is expanding and very helpful. I also learned that her blackberry takes almost better pictures than my old camera.

Challenges:

I didn’t have a big challenge during this project. Other than the project being during ‘dead week’ and finals. Managing my time was probably the hardest part. I needed to make time for finding the information, taking the pictures for the procedure, and putting the whole project together.

Intentions for sending a text message:

After teaching someone how to send a text message, they’ll know how to use a very popular way of communication. Text messaging is rapidly growing everyday. More and more people are learning how to send text messages and buying ‘unlimited’ packages. This means, they can send as many as they want a month, without going over an allowance. Text messaging is almost more popular than talking on the phone now. A lot of people think it’s more convenient and easier if they just text someone.
