About Me

  • My interest in computers began during Middle School. It fascinated me how such a small device could perform a variety of functions. It allowed me to socialize with my friends, kept me entertained, and helped me learn.
  • I hope to start my career in Cyber Security. I’ve always been intrigued by the idea of learning ethical hacking for fun.
  • Other than coding, I always loved playing sports or watching sports. While growing up, I played variety of sports. Some of the sports I enjoyed playing were tennis, golf, ice hockey, American Football, soccer, basketball, baseball and swimming.
  • I currently have a dog, whom is a Maltese. I was able to adopt him when he was 7 years old and is always right by my side.

Biggest Success

Throughout this quarter there has been many obstacles to overcome. Some include time management, learning quickly and never giving up. However, the biggest success I have is doing the task. The project I was assigned to is about website security. I had many classes and courses regarding web development but nothing about security. So having this as my final project for my degree at OSU brought some pressure.

In order for me to breakthrough this obstacle, I had to research very thoroughly without any guidance. Through my schooling I had to research topics but I had a outline or a course plan that was made by someone else. For this project I had to create my own outline and plan. So there were times I had to research even further because I did not realize certain topics required other topics.

I learn so much about website security and all the different types there are. There were vulnerabilities that I would never would be an issue. Another thing I learned about my self is that I can juggle my time and work task if needed. I was able to successfully plan all of my task and finish it within the time frame I set for myself. I am really glad that I am able to part take this project because of all the things I learned and experience.

Technology

How are you using AI in your project? What are some pros and cons? Has it made you a better programmer?

I think AI has 100% made me a better programmer. However, I could see why people would be less willing to praise or promote the use of AI. It could give people some lazy habit and rely on AI to do some the boring work. For me though, it helped me understand how to understand code.

Whenever there was a certain code I did not understand, I could ask AI to break it down for me. It would break the code line by line and explain it to me how to do it. I also used it as a tutor. Whenever I did not understand a certain topic about coding, I would ask AI to explain it for me. So instead of wasting a lot of time trying to research and look at different sites, I could just stay on a single site and continue to ask question. Also since it was real time as well, I did not have to wait for an answer and I could code right away after reading it. It is basically a live tutor and I wish I had this during my high school years.

Like I mention before, AI can produce bad habit if programmers continue to rely on it. I know that cheating or letting AI do the work has become a huge problem in schools. Not only just in coding but in every subject. It is unfortunate to see students abuse such a good learning tool.
