The time when Gae Aulenti was becoming a women and discovering her self so was the rest of the female population. She was thrown into a world of gender inequality and unfairness yet she – and many other women – didn’t let that get them down. They fought for what they wanted and they argued for that acknowledgement; they deserved it after all. Women in this time period got into architecture because of the devastating 2nd war. They were the only ones left to renovate Italy so they did what they had to do. I also noticed that the community correlates with the architecture being done at that point of time. Especially Gae Aulenti. She always corresponded her work with the outside world. Everything needed to work with each other – not against each other.
