Teach
Today is June 1st and I am working hard on my Teach Project since I am a busy girl and don’t have time on the weekends. So far today I have played around with my iPad a lot, watched numerous tutorials about the iPad2 on YouTube.com, and made notes of everything I wanted to touch base on in my Module that you, such as;
Customizing your desk top: background and organizing your apps.
I also took a lot of photos using my iPad2 screen shot camera that I am also going to talk about. I will incorporate step by step instructions with pictures because I know that I learn better with visuals.
I decided to use my blog to write the teaching module.
That is what I have done today so far!
It’s June 3rd and I changed my project a lot. I narrowed it down to just the decorating of the desktop. I am going to see if I can take video on my iPhone 4 to show things pictures can not.
June 4th – I decided against showing a video about how to move the applications around and organize them. I decided that because of how much detail I went into in my Wall Paper module that I don’t think that I need to add anymore. I made a list of the programs and technology I used while I used it so that will be very helpful. I like the way it came out – it is very visual which is how a lot of people learn so I think it will do well.
June 6th – I hope to finish my Teach project today. I’ve been working really hard on it and trying to find things that I can do that will make it more fun for people to follow. I know that when I learn something I enjoy have some hands on practice so I am hoping that people would use this while they have their iPad2 in front of them. I’ll read my classmates thoughts and possibly change it up a bit.

I have decided to do my TEACH Project on the basics and beginners of using the iPad2.
I am going to research the difficulties of having an iPad as your single computer
Sending, receiving and making documents; such as, Word, Power Point, Excel
Apps – free, cost, what ones are worth it?
There is always a down fall to technology – they are not always what you expected – so what are the ones for the iPad2? I’ll have my own experiences with it as well as other stories from fellow iPad2 users.
The tools I am using are:
-My iPad2
-Dell Notebook
-Microsoft Word
-YouTube.com
-Logitech Keyboard Case
-OSU Library Database (Academic OneFile)
-JPEG Images
Articles of peoples thoughts on the iPad2:
-Apple iPad2: Second Thoughts written by Lance Ulanoff in PC Magazine Online March 15th 2011.
-Apple published in Marketing August 10th 2011.
-Terry Whites Tech Blog

Teach
I completely agree with what Dr. Gary Phillips says about how we learn 90% of what we teach people. I have taught many different things over the years since I was in 4-H for ten years and now that I think back to it I am realizing that it is the things that I took the time to teach others how to do that I retained the most. When I was the one in charge – the one who was chosen to direct the kids – it was a important thing to me that I did it correctly and to the best of my ability.
I am a supervisor at my job so I am constantly teaching our employees new things. Whether it’s new product information or change in recipes I am always teaching them as well as myself. When we get new information I don’t all the sudden have it memorized, but being a supervisor, I have to be knowledgeable on everything so that I can be there for them when in question. So it is a necessity that I learn it quickly – most of the time to be able to do that I am teaching myself at the same time as teaching them. When they ask me a question it is just as beneficial to them as it is for me because we both get to learn something new and get our questions answered.
I would like to learn more about “What is design?” and “What is educational technology?”

I used to want to be a teacher . . . then I realized that I didn’t like kids very much.
