My First Fashion Show  March 16th, 2012

My dear viewers,

I started dreaming about being a fashion designer since age 14. My very first fashion creation was a dress I made for my Barbie doll under the instruction of my grandma ;) Then I started my 1st fashion portfolio (which I will post) when I was 14. In that portfolio, I made my fashion illustration with color-paper and the cheapest color pencils you can buy lol, but I was very serious about them and put each design together in a binder named: Future #1 Fashion Designer’s Portfolio – by Jane. Again, I will post pics of my fashion journey soon:)

Today, you, my lovely friends, are about to witness the FIRST TIME I put my little collection on a fashion show! I didn’t care it was only a small part of Beaver Blvd event, it was a BIG DEAL to me.

I am not one of the students in the 4-year apparel design program; I am that one girl who read books about flat pattern and draping and taught myself to make my 2D designs into 3D garments.

Here I want to say, without my friends Katie Sherman, Stephanie Haslett, Jason Smith, roommate Gary Chou, event organizer Amanda Grisham and my family, I wouldn’t have this opportunity to take the 1st little step closer to my dream. Thank you all with all my heart!
