Rosa Parks Birthday Celebration

In honor of Black History Month, the Women’s Center will celebrate the birth of Rosa Parks. Join us for a brief discussion about women’s role in the civil rights movement, social justice themed birthday games, and cake (gluten free options will be available)!

Who DOESN’T love cracking up over board games with a bunch of rad friends? I know I do! Come hang out with the SisterScholars Program and get to know new people all while playing some fun card or board games. I will bring a few, but feel free to bring your favorite one to share! Graduate Women’s Network Social

The Graduate Women’s Network (GWN) is open to any female-identified graduate student at Oregon State looking for a space to connect with other graduate students and learn from each other’s experiences. At the GWN socials we will host round table discussions, welcome guest speakers, and get to know each other as a means of finding support and resources to help in your experience as a graduate student. SisterScholars Go to Gill!

Join SisterScholars as we cheer on the OSU Gymnastics team as they take on Boise State! OSU is currently ranked in the top 10 and this meet is sure to be rad-tastic! Gather your friends, family, and partners and prepare to have fun. Don’t forget your student ID so you can get in for free and money for the concession stand! Stitch & Bitch
Mondays 4:30-5:30 at the Women’s Center. Bring your own project (any craft- it doesn’t have to be stitching!), or use our supplies. Beginning knitting instruction offered. A short presentation at the beginning of each session will offer information on ways that crafting can be a form of activism. Come ready to craft, socialize, and have fun!
Belly Dancing
Mondays at 5:30pm at the Women’s Center. Enjoy meeting new people, training your body, and exploring international music. Stop by and dress up in beautiful belly dancing clothes. All are welcome!
Yoga
Thursdays at 5pm at the Women’s Center. Come together, slow down and find balance through yoga. Relax, re-energize, and re-connect with the body’s wisdom and health in a supportive environment. No experience necessary, come as you are!
I Scream for Identity
Exploring your identity development and the importance of identity affirmation. There’s going to be ice cream, too!!!
