This panel discussion will focus on the challenges and successes in developing an online course. Three Ecampus instructors will relate their firsthand experiences and showcase their newly developed online courses.

Stasi Kasianchuk received her Bachelor’s of Science degree from Ithaca College studying clinical exercise and nutrition science.  Her Master’s of Science degree is from Oregon State University in Exercise and Sport Science and Nutrition and Dietetics. Stasi completed the OSU dietetic internship and became a Registered Dietitian in 2011. Currently as the Co-Director of OSU’s Lifetime Fitness for Health Program, Stasi educates college students on the importance of developing optimal fitness and nutrition habits for success during their college years as well as beyond both on campus and online. Teaching both a lecture and laboratory course through OSU ECampus Stasi has found the online environment to be optimal for motivating students to make positive health behavior changes to their current lifestyles.
A Minnesota native, Dave Stemper serves as an instructor within Oregon State University’s College of Forestry. Dave earned his graduate degree at the University of Minnesota, attaining an M.S. in Natural Resource Communication and Interpretation.In addition to his experience as an instructor, Dave has experience in ecological research with the U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and University of Minnesota’s Raptor Center. He’s served as an interpreter with the International Wolf Center, Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, and Minnesota Historical Society.
