WHAT:  Coordinators of OSU’s Leadership Minor and Leadership Certificate programs will share information about opportunities for student leaders in Engineering.  If you are interested in building your leadership skills through meaningful experiences that are both transcript and resume-visible, this is your chance to get started!

What:               Fall Kick-Off for leaders of Engineering Student Organizations.  The workshop will include information from the Student Events & Activities Center (like registering your organization, risk management, and resources available to your group) and an update on the process for requesting funding from the College of Engineering.

WHO: New and returning Engineering students

WHEN: Friday, September 27th, 3-5pm

WHERE:  The HUB {Batcheller 144}

WHAT: The HUB is a resource center for Engineering students. Swing by the Open House to see what we offer.  Meet your Academic Advisor, learn about studying abroad, set up your week 1 schedule with an Academic Coach, get info on workshops and study tables, enjoy some free food, and get free stuff!

 

COE Application

 

WHO: All new Engineering students (First-years & Transfers)

WHEN:  Friday, September 27th.  Attend a one-hour session between 8:00am and 5:00pm (your assigned time was emailed to your ONID account earlier in September).

WHERE: Kelley Engineering Center, Room 1001

WHAT:  All new Engineering students (First-Years & Transfers) are required to attend a one-hour Laptop Set Up session to have their laptop configured before the start of the term (Sessions include subscribing to the Engineering Events Calendar, setting up your first academic advising appointment, and receiving Engineering software from our IT staff.

WHY:  We know you can all get on the wireless network without our help, but this session covers a lot more.  You’ll receive special Engineering software that you’ll need for your classes, and will also get connected to our Citrix server for easier off-campus connections.  This session is mandatory for all incoming Engineers.

BRING: Your fully charged laptop and power cord, your ONID username and password, a copy of your fall term class schedule, a pen.

WHO:  All new & returning Engineers, as well as COE Faculty & Staff

WHEN: Thursday, September 26th.  1:00-3:00pm

WHERE: Kelley Engineering Center Courtyard

WHAT:  New Engineering Students!  Join returning Engineers as well as faculty & staff for an annual tradition.  We’ll be serving up free ice cream sundaes, giving away prizes, and taking our traditional massive group photo.  Engineering Clubs & Organizations will have booths set up so you can find out about how to get involved.  It’s a fun day and a great way to kick off fall quarter.  See you there!
