Who: engineering students looking to kick-start their study abroad planning or narrow down their many study abroad options.

What: a laid-back event to hear from engineers returning from abroad, chat with them about their experiences in-country, and meet others headed to the same country.

Where: the HUB, of course!

When: Thursday, January 16th at 4:00 p.m.

WHO: Anyone interested in Engineering majors and careers is welcome to attend.

WHAT:  Presentations about each Engineering major given by faculty and advisors in each discipline.  The one-hour sessions will provide an overview of that particular field of Engineering, including required coursework, co-curricular opportunities like research and internships, and career opportunities.

WHEN:  Week 2: January 13-16, 2014.  Presentations are given twice (6pm and 7pm) to accommodate as many schedules as possible.

WHERE:  Corvallis Campus – locations along Campus Way.  See the schedule for specific rooms.

WHO: All new Engineering students (First-years & Transfers)

WHEN:  Friday, September 27th.  Attend a one-hour session between 8:00am and 5:00pm (your assigned time was emailed to your ONID account earlier in September).

WHERE: Kelley Engineering Center, Room 1001

WHAT:  All new Engineering students (First-Years & Transfers) are required to attend a one-hour Laptop Set Up session to have their laptop configured before the start of the term (Sessions include subscribing to the Engineering Events Calendar, setting up your first academic advising appointment, and receiving Engineering software from our IT staff.

WHY:  We know you can all get on the wireless network without our help, but this session covers a lot more.  You’ll receive special Engineering software that you’ll need for your classes, and will also get connected to our Citrix server for easier off-campus connections.  This session is mandatory for all incoming Engineers.

BRING: Your fully charged laptop and power cord, your ONID username and password, a copy of your fall term class schedule, a pen.
