Dance Against Hunger Recap

May 4th, 2012 · No Comments · HHSA

Dance Against Hunger was a week ago, and the entire night was full of anticipation for the members of HHSA performing. Seven of us performed a short and sweet performance after only practicing as a whole group for 30 minutes. Let us know on the group page how you thought we did.

The best part of the night was after the show, when our group and Rip City Kings, krumpers from Portland, had an hourlong lesson/cypher together. Bigsnubb taught us a few basics for krumping and explained the idea and energy behind it. Krumping is a dance that requires expression from within, explosive movements with precise control.

The whole experience was inspiring and motivating, and I hope they’re able to come back down and dance with us again. Perhaps if HHSA wants to throw a show next year?

Finally, HHSA is having their first general meeting Thursday May 7th, from 4:15 – 5:30 and all OSU students are welcome to attend. More info can be found on the event page, RSVP on Facebook.
